Computer Games

Today I’ve done something that I thought I’d never do.

Over the years, I’ve gradually purchased or have been given various gadgetry which was in stark contrast (some would say ‘opposition’) to my desire to support PCs.
My iPod, iTouch, iPhone all became necessary gadgets over the years as my lifestyle adapted to make them more integral to my life. Since the iPhone though, I thought my flirtation with Apple had peaked.
I am writing this on my new MacBook Pro. I think this is called a defection. I’m sorry Bill but you’ll have to share me with Steve.
And I’m loving it already.
One thing Apple has always done better than PC / Windows etc was to supply their products as ‘ready to use’. I’ve done nothing since bringing this computer home and turning it on. No software installation, no difficulties connecting it to our home network and no problems opening the internet.
I’m going to have to master how this mouse works and start personalising my icons and layout but that is all part of the fun of a new gadget. Aside from the mouse, I’d be doing the rest on a PC too.
So, why did I succumb I hear you ask. Easy. Everyone knows that for years Apple has been streets ahead in supporting any software that has a design component. This has never been a concern for me before so I could happily while away my time on a PC but now that I’ve designed my first public internet site, I’ve decided that I could do more.
Since doing that site, I’ve been asked and volunteered to do a couple of others. It was time to get serious and buy the right tools for the job.
As a bonus, I’m finding this incredibly easy to use (so far).
Welcome Mac and soon to be joined by Dreamweaver. I’m so excited!

* Thanks to MiSex for the title to this post.

Don’t worry, there will be some follow up posts to our South Africa holiday but I thought I should write this while it was still a fresh experience. This computer also has a SD slot whereas my other one predates digital cameras and given I still haven’t found the cord for the camera, the post has had to wait until now anyway!
