or: Cleaning Products Can Be Interesting

One of the 974 things I enjoy to do when I’m in an unfamiliar country is to go to a supermarket or two (sometimes more).

It’s an interesting experience partly because I see products I’ve never seen before and partly because the packaging itself can be fascinating.

I’ve found the cleaning products in Mauritius to be interesting in this regard.

There seems to be a predominance of muscled men in singlets or topless. Certainly makes a change from the almost bald Mr Sheen of my youth.

Then there is the Good Maid… she’s just a head with a bow.

I’m not sure who is doing the cleaning in most Mauritian households or what this says about the situation.
