This is it

Nano lego pink panther with drink

Or: Practicing retirement

Lockdown Day 156… I’ve lost count, it could just be 34 or 922… it doesn’t matter.

It’s fortunate that I know it’s Sunday so I don’t miss out on posting for the week.

I haven’t left the house since 19 March 2020 (better put the year since who knows how long this will go on!).

Days blend together when there is no big difference between each.

Time seems to be going surprisingly fast though. I thought it would slow.

I think this is what my retirement might be like except there is currently no diving and no traveling.

There’s also no shopping or going to a local cafe.

The rest of what I’m up to is pretty much what I’d expect to be doing if I was retired.

I’ve given my days some structure so I feel like I’ve done something concrete each day since I don’t like feeling like I’ve done nothing in 24 hours.

I’m reading, writing, on the internet, doing some jigsaw puzzles, a bit of nano lego (yes, I need to wear my glasses for this too), and staying in touch with friends and family online.

I’d be doing cross-stitch too if I had some here…

My life revolves around when I’m going to eat next and what food that will be.

I slot everything else in between these times.

And then there is sleep.

I’m staying awake a lot longer than usual too and drinking a bit more tea.

And a lot more wine.

Sounds like a pretty good retirement to me.

Just add diving and travel!
